Answers to Your Burning Questions
Below you’ll find clear, honest answers to the most common questions you have about Katlehong Computer School
Is Katlehong Computer School accredited?
Yes. KCS, in partnership with Naledi Innovators Business School (NIBS), offers programmes accredited by the Quality Council for Trades and Occupations (QCTO) . NIBS holds the following accreditation numbers: SDP090126105203, SDP090126105359, SDP241125201217, and SDP140126084502.
What is the difference between a QCTO qualification and a KCS short course?
NIBS QCTO programmes are nationally recognized qualifications registered on the NQF framework. KCS short courses (e.g., Digital Office Administrator, Cybersecurity Analyst) are non-accredited skills programmes. Upon completion, you receive an internal KCS Certificate of Completion and, where applicable, globally recognized digital badges from Cisco, IBM, Microsoft, or OpenEDG.
Are KCS certificates recognized by employers?
Yes. While KCS short courses are not QCTO-accredited, they are highly practical and industry-aligned. Many employers value the hands-on skills and the digital badges from global tech companies like Cisco and Microsoft that accompany our courses.
What courses do you offer?
We offer two main streams:
KCS Programme (Short Courses):Â Includes IT Support, Cybersecurity, Ethical Hacking, AI & Data Analysis, and Software Development.
NIBS QCTO Programme:Â Includes Office Administrator, Management Assistant, Real Estate Agent, Bookkeeper, Small Business Consultant, Quality Assurer, Quality Manager, and New Venture Creation.
I am a complete beginner with computers. Can I still enroll?
Absolutely. We offer a Foundational ICT Pathway designed to take individuals with zero computer experience and make them confident, IT-ready users before they start their main course.
Where can I find the 2026 price list?
Yes. Through our NIBS faculty, we offer programmes like New Venture Creation (SP) and Small Business Consultant (OC) . We also support aspiring entrepreneurs with mentorship and practical business skills, even if you have no prior experience.
Is the "Occupational Skills Programme" really free?
Yes! As a special value-add, every learner enrolled in any KCS or NIBS programme receives the Occupational Skills Programme completely free. This is a stand-alone programme valued at R4,500.
